Appreciate these instructions, and the comments, especially that from Christian Schenk. I was worried about mucking with the PHP files, but your instructions were clear.

One note: make sure the single quote marks in your PHP file are _not_ smart quotes, as they appear in the comment above.

Could you provide more detail on which plugins were causing problems? I’ve upgraded already, but curious.

I’m working on my site to try and make sure the CSS and JS load only when necessary, as detailed here: http://contactform7.com/2009/11/22/loading-javascript-and-stylesheet-only-when-it-is-necessary/

And I’m partially successful, but see some oddities. I know you don’t want to do support here, which is fine. Just hoping for more details on what you changed, so I can figure out if it’s a factor or not.

I was trying to get the file attachment to work, I placed [file* your-file] in the form, and [file* your-file] in the field under file attachments section of the “Mail” section.

The email message was coming through, but the attachment was not. I made sure the file permissions were set to write, but the mail message would come through and the attachment still would not. I then changed the code in the file attachments field in the “mail” section to just “[your-file]” while leaving the [file* your-file] in the “form section” and it works great.

I don’t know if this will help others, but I thought I’d put it out there.

Something that would incredibly useful would be a special tag that grabbed the utm_source utm_campaign utm_medium utm_term and utm_content variables from the GA cookie.

I realize that this would only work on sites with ga.js installed. But it would provide super-high value information for those of us calculating ROI on lead-gen marketing initiatives.

If you’ve been considering a paid-version of this plugin, this might be the feature to do it with. Of course, I’d love it if it stayed free too.

Amazing, really! I use multiple instances of basically the same order form for different products, and these tags really help me to identify the correct orders. They make my web administration life so much easier. Thank you!

Congratulations for the plugin. I love it.
I think that a good idea, is the posibility to add support to another tag like “buttons”. The input type=”submit” doesn’t support html tags (like span, em, …).
